Binational research cooperation for European Cloud Security

The cooperation officially started with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding during the Hungarian Innovation Forum. The Fraunhofer Innovation Cluster “Next Generation ID” contributes to the projects by creating solutions for secure identification of people, objects and services.
Bundesdruckerei GmbH and the Hungarian Central Office for Administrative and Electronic Public Services are official partners of the project. Fraunhofer FOKUS and the Technical University Budapest aim to secure the use of cloud technologies by protecting data and identities. The Hungarian Innovation Forum provided the best framework to initiate the cooperation.
On 6th December leading companies from the Hungarian start-up scene gathered in Berlin to discuss the Hungarian innovation strategy together with experts from politics and industry and to present possibilities to interlink with Germany.
Among the speakers were Prof. Dr. Zoltán Cséfalvay, Minister of State for Economic Strategy, Dr. Josef Czukor, Ambassador of Hungary, Dean Dr. László Vajta, vice-rector for Innovation at Budapest University for Technology and Economy as well as Dr. Sven Halldorn, Head of Department for technology politics in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
