The Software Platform Embedded Systems XT – or SPES_XT for short – is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In the project, 21 partners from industrial companies and research institutions work on  topics like the seamless, methodic and tool-based integration of model and analysis technologies into the development process of embedded systems.

The efforts are concentrating on domains like automation, automotive and avionic technology. In the project, the competence center SQC is working on the topics “optimal deployment” and “re-use and variant management”.  The aim of the project is the development of methods for the optimal distribution of processes on processors and the integration of variant models into development processes. SCQ has many years of experience in the development and testing of methods for variant management – especially in the automotive industry.
