Specificitions and Applications: At Fraunhofer FOKUS the future of machine-to-machine communication has been discussed and demonstrated

Fraunhofer FOKUS hosted the 10th Technical Plenary of oneM2M on April 7- 11, 2014 at its premises. Additionally, on April 9, Fraunhofer FOKUS held the 9th KuVS, Next Generation Service Delivery Platforms (NGSDP), Expert Talk on “Machine to Machine Communication Platforms, Applications and Standards”.

Fraunhofer FOKUS hosted the 10th Technical Plenary of onem2m on April 7- 11, 2014 at its premises in Berlin, Germany. 140 delegates attended to discuss the oneM2M Rel 1 specification.

Additionally, on April 9, Fraunhofer FOKUS held the 9th KuVS, Next Generation Service Delivery Platforms (NGSDP), Expert Talk on “Machine to Machine Communication Platforms, Applications and Standards”, with the purpose of having an intense exchange of ideas and experiences among researchers from the industry and academia in regards of the combination of M2M and H2H applications with platforms and different network types. Around 65 experts from more than 10 countries joined the presentations and discussions, finalizing with an interesting and intensive Panel Session. 

During both events, Fraunhofer FOKUS demonstrated the OpenMTC Rel. 3 by means of several real-time M2M applications, such as remote control of robots, smart home, location rating and heart-rate monitoring.
