With the INNO ALARM, innovative approaches are being sought to integrate various warning systems and to distribute the warnings on multi-modal receivers in a target group specific way. At the end of the project, there will be an analysis of the technological opportunities as well as an INNO ALARM platform that will, in future, make it possible for various warning information providers (state, private economy, local safety service providers) to provide cost efficient and safe warning services together with end device and system providers.

Alongside the very promising paging and data broadcast infrastructure, other communication infrastructures are also integrated in the project (multi channel approach) and these can accommodate a variety of alarm triggering events (multi hazard). Suitable infrastructures must be able to orchestrate the various warning information sources, to process the news in close to real-time in a target group specific way and to distribute the warning safely to people and systems. In previous individual solutions, there tends to be a general lack of downward compatibility and exact coordinate warning irrespective of political regional structures. The so-called "last mile" alarm also plays an important role here.
