Dr. Kashif Mahmood is a Research Scientist in Telenor Research, Norway. His current research interests are in the area of next generation mobile network architecture, low power wide area networks for machine type communication, analyzing cellular traffic, and traffic modelling for wireless communication systems. Kashif obtained his M.Sc. degree from GIK Institute, Pakistan and a Ph.D. in Telematics from Norwegian university of science and technology (NTNU). He is a recipient of the Youth Award in Science in Technology by the government of Pakistan and Excellence Award in engineering by NESCOM.
