Objective of this project is to work out an open architecture for multimedia-streaming applications over the Internet in a feasible way. This architecture should take into consideration existing standards such as MPEG 4. The projects aims at being a leading contributor to a new open multimedia streaming standard completely based on the open standards of ITU, MPEG, IETF, and ISMA. Trough the integration of MPEG-4 Systems functionality and latest coding technology that standard should become more powerful than the current solutions.
