Pedro Neves

Pedro Neves received his M.S. and PhD degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. From 2003 to 2006, he joined the Telecommunications Institute (IT), Portugal, and participated in the DAIDALOS-I and DAIDALOS-II European funded projects. In 2006, he joined Portugal Telecom Inovação, Portugal, and participated in several European funded projects (e.g. FP7 WEIRD, HURRICANE, Cloud4SOA, Mobile Cloud Networking, CoherentPaaS and T-NOVA). Since 2014, he has been a solutions architect in Altice Labs. His core activity is focused on the evolution of the operational management systems towards the 5G network paradigm using artificial intelligence techniques. This has been developed through international collaborative R&D activities (e.g. H2020 SELFNET and SLICENET). He has been involved in six book chapters, as well as more than thirty scientific papers in major journals and international conferences.
