Zygmunt Lozinski is one of the technical leaders for IBM in the telecom industry. He is responsible for defining IBM's strategy for Telco Cloud, and solutions for operators for cloud, SDN and NFV. He also consults to service providers on technology and strategy, including hyper-scale infrastructure.
He has over 25 years experience working on telecommunications and networking projects in North America, Europe and the Far East. He lead the development of an advanced platform that enables caching, traffic shaping and CDN at the edge of a mobile operator's network, which lead to the ETSI Mobile Edge Computing initiative.
Zygmunt was a Director, and later President, of the Parlay Group, a consortium of ~70 companies that developed a set of open APIs for telecom networks jointly published by ETSI and 3GPP, and the base for the GSMA's OneAPI.
He was one of the architects of IBM's AIN and SS7 products, and later of IBM's NGN framework and partner strategy.
Zygmunt received the B.Sc(Eng) in Computing Science from Imperial College London. He is a member of the IEEE. He is an IBM Senior Technical Staff Member, a member of the IBM Acdemy of Technology affiliate in the UK, and an IBM Master Inventor with over 25 patents filed in computing and telecommunications, and over 100 publications.
