SDN and NFV deployment and implications – Results from a Delphi Study
SDN and NFV are expected to bear great potential for the telecommunications landscape and beyond. This project conducted by WIK-Consult, TNO and IDATE on behalf of the European Commission sheds light on the actual technological and business potential as well as possible regulatory implications. Our results are drawn on an international Delphi expert panel of almost 700 experts from 55 countries, 3 expert workshops, numerous expert interviews and extensive desk research. We present specific deployment and usage scenarios based ETSI use cases and provide recommendations for policymakers and regulators on how to foster this innovative technology.
