News from Mar. 13, 2013

Fraunhofer FOKUS‘ Competence Center Future Applications and Media (FAME) is attending the Future Everything Summit, 21 – 24 March 2013, Manchester, England.

At the Future Everything Event, the FOKUS’ Competence Center FAME will fathom new perspectives in Web technologies for Smart Cities & Internet of Things. Therefore the latest research findings of the COMPOSE (Collaborative Open Market to Place Objects at your Service) project will be discussed in the CitySDK Workshop. FAME developed the citizen reporting platform FixMyCity which provides a way for citizens to report local issues to the responsible local authority. Especially FixMyCity API features will be addressed in the Open311 Workshop for standardized civic issue tracking.

In keeping with its motto “Summit of Ideas & Digital Invention”, the Future Everything event plays its part as meeting ground for the digital and creative communities. It is focused on the trends and innovations in the digital sphere. It combines keynotes, critical debates, demos and experiences with open space and participatory sessions. In 2013 there are three main themes – Creative Code, Future Cities and The Data Society.
