Research to Participate – Girls' Day@FOKUS

Staying with Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel: Fraunhofer FOKUS is participating on April 25th at Girls' Day at the Chancellery. At this nationwide girls' future day a research and business exhibition will be established for interested students, presenting the exhibits from the area of engineering and natural sciences. Chancellor Angela Merkel guides personally through the exhibition. Next to Fraunhofer FOKUS six other participants are invited.

Dr. Ilja Radusch, Head of the FOKUS Competence Center "Automotive Services and Communication Technologies" shows an exhibit for the occasion from the "Intelligent networked Electric Mobility" in front.

Hands-on technology, hands-on research: In addition to the exhibition at the Federal Chancellery Fraunhofer FOKUS invites a group of students into the headquarters of the institute in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Three different fields of research and work will meet the participants on this day, we open our e-government laboratory, show the Sensor Lab and invite into the FameLab to show the most recent applications of the Competence Center "Future Applications and Media".

Under the motto "City of the Future – Urban Technology Solutions" we want to inspire the students for an education in the field of engineering sciences and information technology.

Funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research, the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, the European Social Fund for Germany and the European Union has developed this nationwide day of action for a truly successful format.
