Fraunhofer FOKUS at the REHAB fair
News from Apr. 16, 2013
In order to recover after an accident or an illness, extensive rehabilitation and aftercare measures are usually necessary. To reduce patients’ stay at the clinic, Fraunhofer FOKUS has developed the telemedically assisted therapy and training environment „MeineReha“ in cooperation with the project group Discover Markets. It enables the proper carrying out of rehabilitation programs at home and on the go. The goal is to support patients in the correct execution of therapy exercises after a hospital stay, and to help prevent chronic diseases. Visitors of the trade fair REHAB in Karlsruhe can get an impression of the system from April 25-27. For 35 years, the international trade fair REHAB has been one of the world’s leading and largest fairs for rehabilitation, therapy and prevention. One of the fair’s core themes is the restoration of the physical and mental abilities of handicapped and chronically ill people with the goal of re-integrating them into daily life, and improving their quality of life.
