OpenMTC and OpenSDNCore integration M2M back-end as a Service

Fraunhofer FOKUS announces the integration of two of its most powerful platforms: The Open Machine Type Communications (OpenMTC) platform and the Open Software Defined Networking Core (OpenSDNCore) platform.
OpenSDNCore is a practical implementation of the future network evolution paradigms, realizing Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Network (SDN) concepts, providing early prototyping of a service enablement platform on top of common infrastructure components.
This integration enables a dynamic cloud deployment of M2M services using OpenMTC based on OpenSDNCore. M2M back-end as a Service is already being used within the Smart City TRESCIMO testbeds (Testbeds for Reliable Smart City Machine to Machine Communication).
