In Vodafone he focuses on MEC architecture, life cycle management and orchestration aspects of MEC, edge cloud to public/private cloud integration and distributed cloud technologies for 5G.

MEC Orchestration in NFV Environments

Orchestration of Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) nodes and edge applications is a hard challenge for service providers. Existing standards like ETSI NFV and ETSI MEC are working together to define an interoperable management environment, but the IT world goes faster adopting alternative solutions. This talk will present the main issues of edge orchestration, the synergies with NFV orchestration and the changes needed by service providers in order to realise a competitive, comprehensive solution.
