Dr. Pedro A. Aranda Gutiérrez obtained the Telecommunications Engineer degree at UPM Madrid in 1898 and his PhD at Universität Paderborn in 2013. He joined Telefónica R&D in 1990 where he has participated in different HW developments in the field of ATM in the 1990’s and in IP network design and deployments starting 1998. He has participated in numerous European and National research projects dating back to the RACE-II framework programme. Currently he works in the Technology Exploration group within the Network Virtualisation and Innovation directorate of the Telefónica I+D/GCTO Unit. He is technical lead of the NetIDE project of the FP7 of the EU.
