Services

The Next Generation Network Infrastructure Competence Center (NGNI) at Fraunhofer FOKUS provides selected services for industry and academia. The chair Architektur der Vermittlunksknoten (AV) at the Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) provides additional services for students.

Services for Industry

Among the services provided to operators and vendors are Prototyping, Proof-of-concept Implementations, Demo Development, Testbed Setup, Consulting, Studies, Benchmarking and Testing. Based on our long experience in the field of telecommunications technology we were able to attract a number of reference customers and continue to run strategic partnerships and long term projects with the industry.

Services for Academia

Being part of a government funded research institution NGNI is involved in a number of national and international research projects. Many projects rely on our experience of running and maintaining testbeds in the field of EPC, IMS and NGN, M2M and communication service environment. We offer the instantiation of the FUSECO Playground and the Smart Communications Playground testbed environments at our customers facilities or at Fraunhofer FOKUS (in this case hosted and maintained by FOKUS staff). We have done so for a number of industry organizations (mainly operators) as well as for several research projects.

Services for Students

Due to the close cooperation between NGNI and the AV chair at the Technische Universität Berlin we supervise a large number of student projects, diploma thesis and PhD programs.
