'ModelBus Technology' by Fraunhofer FOKUS optimises test methods for complex software systems

When it comes time to sign a sales contract, both the company and the customer expect all the relevant processes to run speedily and smoothly. The basis for this are modern, reliable and most of all, seamless and interlocking software solutions. Until now, complex and long test processes have delayed the development time and marketability of new software systems. With the help of their own flexible ‘ModelBus’-technology, the researchers at Fraunhofer FOKUS, the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems, developed the solution FOKUS!MBT for the automation of test processes for software.

Fraunhofer FOKUS’ 'ModelBus Technology' supports the integration and development of sophisticated systems

The larger, more heterogeneous, spread out and autonomous software systems are, the more intractable and error prone they become. At airports in particular, where immense amounts of data are processed, the connection between various application systems is necessary. When they seamlessly work together, we see an increase in both performance and security. Many more passengers can be processed in less time, with the utmost in service for each individual guest.

The experts at Berlin-based Fraunhofer FOKUS, the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems, are creating an open development platform for the EU Project Modelplex to suit just this purpose. They are integrating special tools which can be used to optimise the development of complex software architectures.
