The competence centre MOTION generates processes, methods and tools that provide continuous development and quality control of software based systems and services ranging from drafts to tests and operation as well as certification and approval.
Using its integrated system and testing development MOTION is able to constructively compile system quality, continuously verify and ultimately improve it. For its integrated, tool based development, simulation and testing the competence centre is using methodologies connected to infrastructures as well as to shared and adaptive system architectures.
Based on standardised methods and technologies MOTION develops solutions for the Future Internet, eHealth, Automotive, eGovernment and Smart Cities, supporting an effective and increasingly automated system engineering. MOTION is developing these domain, technology and process specific solutions for the support of an effective and increasingly automated system engineering based on MOF, UML, SysML, UTP, TTCN-3, MDA and Eclipse.
Learn more about MOTION’s current projects, topics, technologies as well as testing and development environments. For individual consulting and training services as well as requests for collaboration, please contact Prof. Dr. Ina Schieferdecker
Final Report of Co:llaboratory: Privacy and Publicness
The Co:llaboratory, a think tank for social issues of the internet initiated by Google, published their fourth initiative’s final report about “Digital Privacy and Publicness”. Call for Papers: Software Testing, Verification and Reliability
Prof. Dr. Ina Schieferdecker and Anneliese A. Andrews are the guest editors of the Special Issue of the Journal Software Testing, Verification and Reliability. The issue on Testing of Embedded Safety-critical Systems focuses among other things on test methods, tools and processes as well as empirical studies and industrial applications. You’re invited to submit papers until 15th November 2011.
New technologies and trends for Smart Cities shows the UrbanTec 2011 from October 24 - 26 in Cologne. Fraunhofer FOKUS will present the new Berlin Open Data Portal and the project Open Cities. Fraunhofer FOKUS & OBJEKTspektrum publish special „Testing“
Under the aegis of Prof. Dr. Ina Schieferdecker, Head of Competence Center MOTION at Fraunhofer FOKUS, the Institute edits the OBJEKTspektrum’s annual special issue on “Testing”. Inspired by Harry M. Sneed’s lifework – who was honored with the first German award for software quality – Schieferdecker looked critically at the latest developments or rather standstills in the test automation.
Fraunhofer FOKUS and Fraunhofer FIRST are organizing the 1st ETSI MBT User Conference 2011 in Berlin from October 18 to 20 to exchange knowledge in the fields of engineering and application aspects of model-based testing.
