Research Project THESEUS TEXO: Identity Management in the Internet of Services

The Research Program THESEUS researches new technologies for the Internet of Services and thus provides a valuable contribution to the information society, the telecommunication sector and last but not least to the innovation policy. Besides the functional characteristics of services in the Internet of Services, several non-functional characteristics are of vital importance for the success of these technologies in an adding value use. Particularly a secure identity management is a basic requirement for the technically secure realization of the contractual situation between both the service provider and the client.

THESEUS is part of the program “Informationsgesellschaft Deutschland 2010 (iD2010)” (Information Society of Germany 2010) from the federal government and has been presented for the first time in December 2006 by the Federal Chancellor. In THESEUS 30 research partners from academy and economy develop new technologies. These technologies are to simplify the access to information, to connect data to new knowledge and to establish the basis for the development of new services in the Internet.
