Secure eIdentity laboratory

Alongside industry specific and service oriented concepts, an awareness of the importance of across-the-board identity and access management when designing IT infrastructures is also becoming increasingly important.

Thus at Fraunhofer FOKUS we have made it our aim to package internal capabilities with our partners’ experiences and outcomes. The “Secure eIdentity Lab” was thus set up in cooperation with the Bundesdruckerei (federal printing office) to serve as both a platform and a showcase.

The Secure eIdentity Lab supports business and administration by setting up a process and service oriented infrastructure. All participants benefit from the development of innovative identity solutions and the integration of identity technologies and the wide-ranging experience gained from existing infrastructures and test environments. Furthermore, the Secure eIdentity lab helps by

setting an example for the integration of digital identities in media mismatch free processes
connecting processes to secure digital identities throughout an entire life cycle
developing user-oriented identity and access management scenarios
issuing white papers, written reports and offering consulting services
giving presentations and workshops in the lab
offering consultation services for politics and business
