M2M Example Service:
The idea of this M2M scenario was the linking of information collected by sensor nodes with the communication capabilities of the FOKUS Broker. In this scenario a sensor gateway has a connection with the FOKUS Broker. The gateway collects information originated from the nodes and sends the data to the Broker. This data is evaluated and the Broker reacts in a certain way. The behaviour of the Broker can be controlled by policies. Nodes used in the NGNI lab are capable to measure temperature, light and movement. A simple emergency scenario could be the notification of a user if a certain temperature threshold is exceeded in the household. Notifications could be sent by the Broker via SMS, Instant Message or Email
