OMACO Components
The central OMACO component provides OSIMS monitoring and controlling functionalities. A dynamic, web based graphical user interface allows for real-time supervision and control of devices, processes and traffic of the control plane (OSIMS: P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF, HSS). Local agents that are deployed on OSIMS systems monitor vitality and provide interfaces for the control of OSIMS processes. Active IMS traffic generators, user endpoint emulators periodically test OSIMS functionalities and send alarms and performance information to the central OMACO monitoring and controlling system. Passive network taps capture and analyze IMS traffic and provide the central monitoring and controlling system with traffic information.
OMACO Components
The main modules of OMACO are:
- A central management console providing a graphical user interface
- Distributed local agents for continuous device health monitoring and OSIMS process control
- Active traffic generator and user endpoint emulator based on SIPNuke
- Passive network taps for OSIMS traffic monitoring
