Open IMS Playgound Components
The FOKUS Open IMS Playground gathers all major IMS components originating from own developments and major industry players. Around the
Open Source IMS Core several add-on components have been developed and can be obtained. Just get into

Open IMS Playground Topology
The Open IMS Playground includes the following components:

Open Source IMS Core OSIMS
This is the heart of the Open IMS Playground. It is Open Source and includes:
- Home Subscriber Server (HSS) FHoSS
- Call Session Control Functions CSCFs
- myMONSTER TCS Framework
The Multimedia Open InterNet Services and Telecommunication EnviRonment, providing developers a unified communication interface on which they can develop and bring together a suite of integrated applications.
- Open Service Enabler OpenSE
OpenSE implements Parlay X Web Services, which provide a widely accepted, standardized way to access telecommunications functionality in Next Generation Networks (e.g. IMS) via Web Services.
- OSIMS Management Console OMACO
Rather than being an intrinsic Open IMS Playground component, the OSIMS Management Console provides means for testing, monitoring and controlling the vital IMS core network components.
- IMS Evaluation and Testing
FOKUS is developing systematic tests to check functionality, interoperability and conformance of IMS components.
- XML Document Management Server XDMS
The XML Document Management Server makes user-specific service-related information accessible to service enablers.
- Presence Server
The presence server provides a standard compliant presence enabler service for many applications like Instant Messaging, Push To Talk over Cellular, Video Calls/Conferences and others.
- Generic Bootstrapping Architecture GBA
The FOKUS Generic Bootstrapping Architecture enables strong authentication and Single Sign-On for HTTP services offered by IMS environments and the Internet.
- Policy and Charging Control Architecture PoCCA
The FOKUS Policy and Charging Control Architecture constitutes the link between the access network and the IMSCore to provide access, QoS and resources control in the IMS.
- Converged Open Messaging Server COMS
The FOKUS Converged Open Messaging Server (COMS) implements an OMA compliant service enabler and offers common reusable Instant Messaging capabilities.
