IPTV Interactive Services provide server side logic and a graphical user interface for interactive IPTV services. This hybrid solution can be accessed by IMS-based IPTV user agents, Web services or HTTP interfaces, and implements draft services indicated in the TISPAN and OIPF draft specification. IPTV Targeted Advertisement The IPTV Targeted Advertisement (IPTV TAD) solution is an OIPF and ETSI TISPAN standard-compliant component for targeted and interactive advertisement and IPTV e-Commerce. Equipped with open communication interfaces to advertisers, content owners and service providers, Fraunhofer FOKUS’s ad solution provides many advanced refinancing and advertising formats that deliver targeted and personalized ads, non-linear and clickable content as well as interactive TV objects. 
The AJAX-based Web toolkit is a convenient instrument for managing an advertiser’s workflow and customers. Uploading, classifying, linking and creating ad pools can be done conveniently using the AJAX-based web toolkit. This allows advertisers and content owners to comfortably fit their content into IPTV systems without having to use complicated and expensive insertion processes. Personalization is done through the IPTV user profile based on a recommendation-driven association of ad clips.
A lot people watching television are not very open to TV advertisements, but they don’t want to pay for there television program as well. This is quite an issue, because the whole concept of free television is based on advertisements. In this case there is a real need to enhance this process, from the company point of view to raise the interest for their products and from the customer point of view to get less annoyed and to see only advertisements that actually interests. Personalized Advertisement is a good solution to optimize the effects of advertisements.
The main point of the personalized Advertisement is that advisements can be associated with different users (or more exactly with user groups). This can be done over an Http/Ajax web interface. The underlying architecture used here the ICEFaces framework, which generates a very nice look and feel for the administration. In this way advertisements companies could easily fit there content into the system and don’t need to rely on a complicated process.
Configured Advertisements can be triggered by the Media Content Provider also over the web interface. An IMS / SIP based signaling informs all clients, which automatically pause the content and show the advertisements. This can happen e.g. in live stream to override the current static advertisements with personalized advertisements or to add advertisements in video on demand content.
