In this regard Fraunhofer FOKUS fosters synergies that help to make it optimally prepared for all upcoming challenges in the rapidly changing media and Telco ecosystem.

The Fraunhofer FOKUS Future Applications and Media  Lab bundles expertise in the areas of interactive applications, media handling, and mobile telecommunications and channels it for standard-based, open Media Delivery Platforms featuring live, on demand, context-aware, and personalized interactive media. These and other related issues are now being researched by Fraunhofer FOKUS with a worldwide roll-call of partners. The strictly neutral stance embraced by Fraunhofer FOKUS allows the Future Applications and Media Lab Experts to influence key standardization organizations and to create early prototypes as part of the comprehensive infrastructure.
