Showcase for the Multimedia Open Internet Services and Telecommunication Environment Release in 2008

NGNI operates for several years the FOKUS NGN testbed with its playgrounds Open IMS Playground and Open SOA Telco Playground that proved to be an incubator environment for innovations in the domain like the Open IMS Core project (which was released 2006). On the occasion of our 4th International FOKUS IMS Workshop 2008 we will show first demonstrations of an extendible plug-and-play framework which we are about to release to the interested public in December 2008. This Multimedia Open Internet Services and Telecommunication Environment provides developers a unified communication interface on which they can develop and bring together a suite of integrated applications such as voice, video, instant messaging, chats, news, photo sharing, contacts and much more from the telecommunication and Internet domains. The framework extends FOKUS achievements in the NGN client sector and will enable developers worldwide to build showcases for converged application scenarios.
