Fraunhofer FOKUS’ competence center Future Applications and Media is proud to host the 10th anniversary edition of EuroITV - the European Interactive TV Conference. The three-day event including tutorials, workshop and a conference will take place from in Seminaris Berlin under the slogan “Bridging People, Places & Platforms” From July 4th to July 6th 2012 experts and industry representatives will gather to discuss current development and future trends in IPTV standards, mobile TV, digital content production, entertainment computing, usability and user experience evaluation, changes and challenges in technical requirements and infrastructure as well as new advertisement and revenue models for television.
EuroITV is the leading international conference for media and interaction related to video and television. This year’s theme of “Bridging People, Places and Platforms” focuses on synergies to support current practice and to explore new perspectives – empowering users to interact with content and each other across localities and across various delivery platforms and media.
The EuroITV 2012 conference consists of three tracks - “Human-Computer Interaction”, “Media, Social and Economic Studies” and “Systems and Enabling Technologies”, each with its own program committee and separate track chairs, coordinated by two overall program chairs. General chairs for the conference are Future Applications and Media heads Dr. Stefan Arbanowski and Dr. Stephan Steglich. Local chair for the event is research fellow Robert Kleinfeld.
Calls for participation are open as follows: Tutorials and workshop proposals until November 25, 2011; Full paper submissions until January 7, 2012; Short paper, posters, doctoral consortium and demos submissions until March 4, 2012. Fraunhofer FOKUS invites original, high quality papers submissions addressing how digital technologies open up new ways of consumption and interaction with rich-media content. The main conference proceedings will be published by the Association for Computing Machinery - www.acm.org. Selected papers will be shortlisted for submission to special edition journals.
