The EU webinos consortium headed by Fraunhofer FOKUS is excited to announce that an important milestone has been achieved. The webinos consortium has released its first specifications and is inviting external feedback from car companies, phone manufacturers, mobile operators, TV companies, broadcasters and application and software developers.

At the IBC 2011 in Amsterdam (hall 8, booth B80), Fraunhofer FIRST will be presenting its automatic calibration software for projections on any shape or size of surface. It facilitates the alignment of the individual projector images in a projector cluster. Geometry, brightness and color are automatically adjusted, and the images are aligned pixel by pixel. The technology is embedded into Fraunhofer FIRST’s Media Player, that is now also available for active stereo 3D projections.
