Service-oriented Public Administration for the Whole of Europe – BEA and HP partner with the eGovernment Lab Real-life scenarios for the implementation of the EU Services Directive and Service115 with FOKUS’ new partners BEA Systems and Hewlett-Packard With BEA Systems and Hewlett-Packard the Fraunhofer FOKUS eGovernment Lab has gained two new powerful partners who bring in the benefits of their technology, solutions and expertise. Both companies will contribute forces to the development of real-life scenarios in the key laboratory domains of interoperability, service orientation and eIdentity. The first goal of the partnerships aims at the prototype demonstration of ways of implementing the EU Services Directive and the integration of the planned German nationwide access line Service115. This scenario shall involve convergence of national and cross-European projects for the very first time. Both companies will enrich the Lab infrastructure with a wide range of IT products. At CeBIT 2008 the first technical solution will be presented in the form of a white paper; the first prototype implementations are planned from spring 2008 onwards.
