    Civil security without surveillance

More security in public spaces without forfeiting privacy or personal rights. The Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS) exhibts at the CeBIT 2014 (Hall 9, Stall E40), that this need not be contradictory. embedded world 2014: Test environment for networked vehicles

Modern vehicles are increasingly being equipped with assistance systems: For example a camera recognizes road signs and points out speed limits or no-passing zones to the driver. In the future vehicles will exchange data between each other or with the traffic infrastructure, in order to inform the driver of dangerous situations like an approaching traffic jam. The basis for vehicle-to-X communication is failsafe and reliable software systems. At the embedded world 2014 in Nuremberg (Hall 5, Booth 250) between the 25th and 27th of February, Fraunhofer FOKUS will present a test environment for testing of such complex and highly cross-linked systems.
