Nowadays, companies, organizations and administration must cooperate more and more – and that worldwide. The consequence: Modern business processes are no longer isolated applications that are limited to the own company. Rather, they represent large parts of the value chain. Accordingly, data has to be exchanged between business partners and the own applications have be able to communicate and to work with each other.
At the Center for Interoperability, the researchers of Fraunhofer FOKUS investigate the ability of an IT system or a product to work with other IT systems or products.
