Fraunhofer FOKUS receives TeleTrusT- Innovation Award

Fraunhofer FOKUS has received the “TeleTrusT Innovation Award 2010” for enhancing data protection and privacy by combining the new ID card together with the Microsoft-Technology U-Prove.

Berlin, Oct 6th 2010 – The head of the research team “electronic identities” at the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS, Jens Fromm, has received the TeleTrusT- Innovation Award at the International ISSE Security Conference (Information Security Solutions Europe). The Prize is awarded annually by the IT security cooperation TeleTrusT Deutschland e.V. An international jury awards the annual prize to especially innovative and trustworthy IT applications. Fraunhofer FOKUS has been working on research and development of electronic identities for years and has been chaperoning the introduction of the new ID Card with its test and demonstration center “Neuer Personalausweis” (New ID Card).
