Foundation of the German-Russian Center for Interoperable eGovernment Systems

Fraunhofer FOKUS has established a partnership with the Russian Academy of Sciences and the State University of St. Petersburg. The new Innovation Center is intended to become a lighthouse project for “eGovernment made in Europe”.

Berlin, St. Petersburg, October 8, 2010 – The Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems FOKUS, the Institute SPIIRAS at the Russian Academy of Sciences and the St. Petersburg State University of Information Technology, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO) are planning to establish a “Center for Interoperable eGovernment Systems“ in St. Petersburg. The aim is to create interoperable and innovative eServices for Russia.

The kick-off for the opening of the Russian-German Centre for interoperable eGovernment systems will take place within the St. Petersburg eGovernment Workshop 2010 at the 22nd October 2010 in St. Petersburg.
