  • G-Lab Deep
    End of the project: 31.08.2012

The project G-Lab DEEP was executed from September 2009 until August 2012 and explored innovative composition-approaches for cooperation between network and services with the focus on security in the Future Internet. The G-Lab-platform was used and extended for the evaluation of the developed concepts. G-Lab DEEP addressed issues related to the Future Internet and the provisioning of appropriate experimental platforms in the academic environment, with an emphasis on the already existing work in the G-Lab framework. The main focus of the research was to convey the requirements that result from a concrete application layer workflow to the network layer.

  • VirtuOS
    End of the project: 31.03.2012

The standard AUTOSAR already encapsulates a variety of approaches for integration of a broad array of functions in the car. Yet given the different safety requirements for the huge number of individual components, these approaches need to be re-assessed and in some cases extended. In the VirtuOS project scientists at QUEST are developing new processes, tools and methods with this end in mind.

  • Endoguide: Endoscope with a 360-degree view
    End of the project: 30.09.2011

Modern endoscopes offer the surgeon a limited viewing angle of typically 70 degrees. As a result, doctors can only observe a small segment of their operative area. A panoramic view corresponding to the natural human visual field is missing. An endoscope with a 360-degree view is thus currently being developed in the Endoguide project. With the new endoscope, the surgeon can initially perform an automatic scan function that provides a panoramic view.

  • DEVICE-SOFT – Deductive Verification for Industrial Critical Embedded Software
    End of the project: 31.08.2011

The main goal of the project is to disseminate, improve, integrate, and deploy deductive verification technologies into the industrial domain of safety critical embedded systems. The project is centered around the Frama-C framework and its deductive verification plug-in. QUEST has gained significant experience in the use of the tool and works with the main developer of Frama-C, CEA LIST.

  • Ebaso
    End of the project: 30.04.2011

Today’s cars are produced in line with the modular design principle which enables efficient production of individual customer-configured vehicles. The EBASO project seeks to extend this approach to the development of embedded software in the automotive domain. QUEST collaborates with PROSTEP GmbH on developing a demonstrator to show the simple modeling of product variations in automobile engineering.
