Take the Autobahn A 59 and leave it at the exit 41 Bonn-Beuel Ost / Hangelar. Turn right into Sankt-Augustiner-Straße (B56) and go straight ahead for about 2.2 km. At the crossing Bonner Straße / Konrad-Adenauer-Straße (Sign to Schloss Birlinghoven and Bonn-Hoholz) turn right into the Konrad-Adenauer-Straße and go ahead for about 2.3 km. The entrance of Schloss Birlinghoven is left-hand side on the hill top..

By bus and train
From Sankt Augustin or Siegburg use tram 66 to Hangelar Mitte.  Then take bus 516 to Schloss Birlinghoven (departs only on weekdays in the morning and the evening every 30 minutes). From Bonn use also tram 66 to Hangelar Mitte or go by bus 608 or 538 directly to Schloss Birlinghoven.

From the airport to the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS in Birlinghoven
From Cologne airport you can reach Fraunhofer by taxi in about 25 minutes. You can also use the bus SB60 to Bonn Hauptbahnhof.
From Düsseldorf airport or Frankfurt airport use the Intercity or ICE to Bonn or to ICE station Siegburg / Bonn. How to reach Birlinghoven from Bonn or Siegburg see section "by bus and train".
