Green Wave at the VSimRTI Workshop

Waiting at red stoplights will soon be a thing of the past. The newly developed Green Wave App is one of numerous applications presented at the VSimRTI Workshop on 18 March 2011 in Berlin. With the help of the simulation environment VSimRTI, developed by Fraunhofer FOKUS, the affect of vehicle to X communication apps on traffic can be analysed. In addition, the experts of Fraunhofer FOKUS presented protective mechanisms that were analysed with the help of VSimRTI and that are meant to protect communication between the vehicles from attacks. Experts in traffic, simulation and communication from all over the world participated in the event, including representatives from Audi, the PTV AG, Toll-Collect and the German Aerospace Center.
