Excellent: BMWi awarded project “goBerlin” with “Trusted Cloud” Prize

In the future, the citizenry, businesses and government will all be able to access public and associated commercial services using Cloud computing. In order to make the cooperative use of these services safe and secure, Fraunhofer FOKUS began the project “goBerlin” in collaboration with partners from business and government. With “goBerlin”, medium sized enterprises are integrated into the eGovernment value chain as users and providers of (IT) services. The opening of this cooperative service market creates great economic potential for companies and governmental bodies. At CeBIT 2011, the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology declared “goBerlin” the winner of the technology project contest “Trusted Cloud,” beating out 116 candidates. The project consortium consists of the IT-Dienstleistungszentrum Berlin, HSH Soft- und Hardware Vertriebs GmbH, MY-HAMMER AG, the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communications System FOKUS and Software- und Systemtechnik ISST, Siemens IT-Solutions and Services GmbH as well as Berlin’s Senate Administration of the Interior and Sport.
