Fraunhofer FOKUS and Versant enter into a strategic lab partnership for IPTV

Up to ten times faster and a much more robust and scalable platform for certain IPTV Services and applications. This is what came out in the beginning of June 2010 as Fraunhofer FOKUS and Versant Corporation integrated Versant´s Object Database into components of the IPTV Ecosystem - a development by Fraunhofer FOKUS. The study has been conducted within a research cooperation between Versant, an US based industry leader in high performance data management software and the German research facility. The strategic lab partners aim to demonstrate, how IPTV technologies can benefit from object databases to advance the multimedia industry, content provider and telecom enterprises.
