EU-112 Workshop: Bob in his starring role

Locating people quickly in cases of emergencies can save lives. Fraunhofer FOKUS demonstrated at the EU-112 Workshop on 25th March in Spain, how this is possible with next generation networks in interaction with the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The event under the patronage of the Spanisch President was organized jointly by EENA, the European Emergency Number Association and the General Directorate for Emergencies of the Spanish Region of Murcia. More than 500 participants from industry, European emergency services and relevant authorities, among them Siemens and Orange, exchanged their experiences with next generation networks.
