The PADGETS project started in Athens on 25^th – 26^th January 2010 with Fraunhofer FOKUS as co-operation partner in the domain of service oriented architectures, mobile computing and technologies for future Web applications.

The PADGETS project applies social networking techniques together with societal modeling, to enable policy makers in reaching justified decisions. Citizens participate in various modes and forms with the assistance of Policy Gadgets, specialized micro-applications in social nets, that can have several types of behavior.

PADGETS is being implemented by a joined multi-national team of more than 40 researchers, coming from 12 partners:
