Fraunhofer FOKUS hosts EuroITV 2012 - “Bridging People, Places and Platforms”

Fraunhofer FOKUS is proud to host the 10th anniversary edition of EuroITV. The international Interactive TV Conference will take place in Berlin from 4th-6th July 2012. The three-day event under the slogan “Bridging People, Places & Platforms” includes tutorials, workshop and a conference where experts and industry representatives will gather to discuss current development and future trends in IPTV standards, mobile TV, digital content production and entertainment as well as new advertisement concepts and business models for television.

Fraunhofer FOKUS at E12 Summit 2011

Fraunhofer FOKUS supported the E12-Summit - one of the most important e-business conferences in Germany. During the two-day conference well-known researchers and managers of major German and international companies discussed the latest developments in digital communications and upcoming new business models. Fraunhofer FOKUS provides insights in recent developments of HybridTV services and interactive media by demonstrating an HbbTV Car Configurator as well as the FOKUS non-linear video technology.

2nd FOKUS Media Web Symposium 2011: International success!

On November 10–11 with tremendous success Fraunhofer FOKUS attracted international future media innovators for the second time to the FOKUS Media Web Symposium. The event took place at Fraunhofer-Forum in the heart of Berlin. Numerous experts and researchers from 15 countries discussed future trends in the field of HybridTV, web applications, and social media.

Fraunhofer FOKUS supports OIPF at IBC 2011

AMSTERDAM - At this year's IBC2011 conference and workshop Fraunhofer FOKUS  introduced the recently launched FOKUS HbbTV & OIPF Test Suite - a test tool for OIPF DAE and HbbTV compliant terminal devices. In addition, Future Applications And Media researchers  presented their OIPF Release Specification 2 compliant IPTV middleware DRM extension.

HbbTV Car Configurator showcase at dmexco 2011

Together with SevenOne Media GmbH and Volkswagen, Fraunhofer FOKUS showcased an interactive Car Configurator application based on the new Hybrid TV standard HbbTV at dmexco 2011 in Cologne. The Digital Marketing Exposition and Conference is one of the major events for the digital marketing industry with more than 300 national and international attendees. Our joined presentation was widely praised by all visitors.

Fraunhofer FOKUS at IBC 2011

Future Applications and Media is supporting OIPF at this year's IBC conference and workshop. Fraunhofer FOKUS will present proof of concept of implementing OIPF standards as well as a Cross-Platform DRM.

Fraunhofer FOKUS presents HbbTV at the First IPTV Roundtable at MIZ Babelsberg

How long will it take for IPTV to reach our homes and become a part of our everyday life? Together with the German Federal Association of Online Service Providers (BDOA) the Media Innovation Center (MIZ) Babelsberg organized the first IPTV roundtable in order to find answers to this and other questions about the future of TV. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Arbanowski held a talk on HbbTV - Hybrid broadcast broadband TV and addressed many of the current issues in the industry.
