3rd FOKUS Media Websymposium 2013

The 3rd Media Web Symposium will be held on March 14-15, 2013. Yes, we are moving the event closer to spring time. Again we are expecting around 200 experts from around the globe to discuss with us newest trends in the area of media and web technologies.

Fraunhofer FOKUS supports OIPF at IP&TV Worldforum 2012 in London

As a member of the Open IPTV Forum the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS exhibited on the IP&TV Worldforum 2012 (soon TV Connect) in London. Besides the shown non-linear video technology on SmartTVs in the exhibition area the competence center FAME introduced current and OIPF-compliant projects on the TV App Hub.

Mobile World Congress 2012

Fraunhofer FOKUS presented new demos in cooperation with webinos during Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona. The webinos consortium pre-released the first version of its Open Source code during this year's tech fair in Spain. The event brought together many interested decision makers from different tech leaders with Nick Allot from Impleo, who coordinated the webinos activities at MWC 2012. In his own words: "The biggest takeaway I found was people definitely get it; and fundamentally people think what we have is cool!"

Fraunhofer FOKUS hosts EuroITV 2012 - “Bridging People, Places and Platforms”

Fraunhofer FOKUS is proud to host the 10th anniversary edition of EuroITV. The international Interactive TV Conference will take place in Berlin from 4th-6th July 2012. The three-day event under the slogan “Bridging People, Places & Platforms” includes tutorials, workshop and a conference where experts and industry representatives will gather to discuss current development and future trends in IPTV standards, mobile TV, digital content production and entertainment as well as new advertisement concepts and business models for television.

Fraunhofer FOKUS at E12 Summit 2011

Fraunhofer FOKUS supported the E12-Summit - one of the most important e-business conferences in Germany. During the two-day conference well-known researchers and managers of major German and international companies discussed the latest developments in digital communications and upcoming new business models. Fraunhofer FOKUS provides insights in recent developments of HybridTV services and interactive media by demonstrating an HbbTV Car Configurator as well as the FOKUS non-linear video technology.
