Fokus QualiPSo Labeling Services

Trust in a community without any institutional backing and a highly autonomous development process are important concerns for open source products. Thus the QualiPSo Project is developing quality criteria and reference processes which will, if implemented, ensure OSS quality.

To improve user’s reputations and help them to identify products of superior quality, the QualiPSo label is considered to be an appropriate approach. Any developer, project, product or company offering value added services can obtain a QualiPSo label if their processes and products comply with QualiPSo Quality Metrics.

The Fokus QualiPSo Competence Center will offer QualiPSo Labeling Services, which will certify the quality of the labeled OSS product, developer or company. This service shall be available by 2010.

Trust towards OSS will be enhanced and thus products and services will be sold easier to a even wider customer circle.
