PRE-DRIVE

Preparation for Driving implementation and Evaluation of C-2-X communication technology

The European Research project PRE-DRIVE C2X aims to specify a detailed architecture and to realize a pan-European C2X-system, which is a communication system for vehicles exchanging relevant information with other vehicles or with equipped traffic infrastructure.

A main focus of the project is to find and implement tools and methods to validate the C2X systems or C2X-based applications. Therefore, PRE-DRIVE C2X has two approaches: An integrated simulation environment and a field operational tests. The test system should be suited to evaluate effects on traffic, safety or the environment. Tools and methods for evaluation will be integrated and tested, so that the test system could be easily employed within a large scale field operational test.
